Colonial Industrial Quarter |
|
| Located at the Northeast corner of Main and Church Streets in downtown Bethlehem (610) 691 - 6055
Early Bethlehem was home to an outstanding concentration of manufacturing trades. Some of the buildings that housed these trades are still standing in the Colonial Industrial Quarter, including the 1762 Water Works, site of America's first pumped town water system and now a National Historic Landmark. The 1761 Tannery, 1869 Luckenbach Mill, and Miller's House also remain, along with the ruins of other early manufacturing buildings along the Monocacy Creek.
