Burnside Plantation
Our Farm in the City

1461 Schoenersville Road
Bethlehem, PA 18018
610-691-6055
INFORMATION

The homestead of James Burnside was an integral part of the Moravian farming system. Situated in a idyllic park, along the Monocacy Creek, the property contains the 18th and 19th-century farmhouse and summer kitchen, a large garden, two barns, and other outbuildings. Burnside is home to one of the few high horse powered wheels in the country!

Visitors have called the site "gorgeous," the gardens "fabulous," and touring Burnside "a lovely, peaceful way to spend an afternoon."

Enjoy a slideshow of our friendly residents at Burnside Plantation: the Bethlehem Police Department's horses! Want to make your stomach growl? Watch the Foodways team cook in the summer kitchen!

Special thanks to the Dr. Robert F. and Elizabeth D. Barnes Family Foundation and Burnside Garden Volunteers for the support and maintenance of the Burnside Gardens
