Trot into History at the 2023 Historic Turkey Trot 5K & Fun Walk in Bethlehem

Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites to present Thanksgiving fun for the whole family, with both competitive and fun runs or walks through Bethlehem’s downtown. 

Bethlehem, PA – 23rd October 2023 – Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites (HBMS) is thrilled to invite runners and walkers of all ages to join us for the 2023 Historic Turkey Trot 5K & Fun Walk, set to take place on Saturday, November 25th with presenting sponsor, St. Luke’s Physical Therapy. This exciting event promises participants a delightful experience as they traverse the picturesque downtown and historic district of Bethlehem.  

This annual community favorite is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the crisp fall air, get some exercise, and have fun with friends and family. Participants are known for donning creative costumes, adding to the event’s lively atmosphere. Lace up your sneakers and be part of a memorable Thanksgiving weekend tradition! Bib pick up will begin Friday, November 24 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., as well as in the morning of the 25th from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. As a part of registering for The Turkey Trot, you will receive a Turkey Trot T-shirt, free refreshments, free admission to Trees of Historic Bethlehem all weekend, as well as free admission to the Holiday Dinner Art Exhibition at the Luckenbach Mill during pick-up on Saturday from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. ‘Trot’-ers, so to speak, can choose to run or walk both competitively and for fun.  

HBMS is also having a variety of opportunities to get your friends and family involved throughout the event: Such as, competing in The Best Pet Costume Contest. Turkey Trot participants can register their dogs to be judged under one of three categories, Best Pup / Handler Duo, Best Turkey Trot-related theme, and Fan-Favorite. Be sure to dress up and grab your family for a holiday photo with Santa! 

Looking for a way to give back this thankful season? Volunteering at the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot is a fantastic way to support Historic Bethlehem and give back during the holiday season. By participating, you’ll not only promote health and fitness but also help raise funds for the preservation of history in our community. When: Saturday, November 25, Best Pet Costume Contest: 8:30 a.m., Runners Start: 9:00 a.m., Competitive Walkers Start 9:05 a.m., Fun Walkers Start 9:10 a.m.  

Where: Luckenbach Mill, 459 Old York Road, Bethlehem 

Tickets: $40 registration before race day; $45 on November 25  

Parking: The Spring Street lot will be open until 8:30 am. and will reopen for cars to exit at 10:00 a.m. If you park in this lot, you will not be able to leave until 10:00 am.
