Historic Bethlehem and professor Sarah Eyerly invite you to experience “Moravian Soundscapes,” a two-day event offering a unique walking tour with sound installations and the Jeanette Barres Zug Lecture at the Gemeinhaus Saal, Moravian Museum.
On Oct. 15 at 1:00 pm, Eyerly will present on her research and process for the Moravian Soundscapes project and book. Following the lecture, there will be a delightful polyglot (multi-language) singing performance, featuring hymn versus prepared by Eyerly in five different languages including English, Mohican, and German for four voice parts (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass).
We warmly welcome all guests to participate and engage in this engaging and harmonious experience and remain for a wine and cheese reception.
While at the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem, enjoy the newly launched family tour of the museum, with hands-on activities that bring Bethlehem’s history to life for young visitors. Find out what the average school day was like for children in Bethlehem, try your hand at some of the early trades, and learn about the Birthday Book!
Zug Lecture, Polyglot Singing Performance, and Wine and Cheese Reception October 15 from 1:00 pm. – 4:00 pm.
This program is supported by the Jeanette Barres Zug endowment fund.
