Description
Unspun: Stories of Silk is a colorful exhibition that begins with the Bethlehem Moravians’ ambitious attempts to create the world’s most luxurious and useful fabric. Through stories, displays, artwork, and hands-on activities, visitors can explore the fascinating journey of silk in the Lehigh Valley from a small experiment in an attic to a global leader in the silk industry. The exhibition runs through January 2024 and is presented in part through funding from The Helen & R.K. Laros Foundation.
With this ticket you will be able to follow the stories of the silk through the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts (427 N New Street), the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem (66 W Church Street), and the National Museum of Industrial History (602 E 2nd Street). Our recommended starting location is the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem (66 W Church Street).
Admission is $30 for adult (ages 19+) non-members, $22 for child (ages 7-18) non-members, and free for children under 6, as well as, members of Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites or the National Museum of Industrial History.
