Travel to the simpler times of Colonial life in America – for a few hours at least.

Burnside Plantation will be hosting a cooking demonstration and colonial dance lesson from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The cooking demonstration in the 1748-1848 style Summer Kitchen will be set to the theme of Salad Days. The Historic Bethlehem Foodways Group will be providing the demonstration and the majority of the vegetables will come from the Burnside Plantation garden.

In addition to the cooking, guests can also experience colonial dance lessons from Historic Bethlehem Museum and Sites‘ instructors who will be dressed in period costumes.

No experience is required for the lessons and all ages are welcome to participate.

Guests may purchase tickets through the Pass Into History program. Admission tickets are $12 for two museum tours, $18 for three tours, $24 for four tours and $30 for five tours.

To purchase tickets visit historicbethlehem.webconnex.com/Passintohistory and for more information about the program visit historicbethlehem.org.
