Award-Winning Preservation Magazine Features HBMS in Spring Issue

The award-winning Preservation Magazine, published by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, featured Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites and its preservation successes in its spring issue. The article Moravian Days spotlights Moravian Church Settlements—Bethlehem, the nation’s newest World Heritage Site, and the ongoing efforts to preserve and promote Bethlehem’s unique history.
The comprehensive article covers Bethlehem’s early Moravian history, the efforts to preserve and restore the historic areas that had fallen into disrepair over the decades, and the journey to World Heritage designation over the past two decades. It also touches on the restoration of the 1782/1834 Grist Miller’s House and the development of the Overlook on History, two projects in Bethlehem’s Colonial Industrial Quarter that HBMS is currently working on.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation recognizes excellence in various aspects of historic preservation in the United States. The article’s author, Eve Kahn, visited Bethlehem in December; her visit was made possible through the efforts of Historic Hotel Bethlehem.
