Explore the age-old craftsmanship of blacksmithing with your family when you stop by the 1750 Smithy (at 1 Ohio Rd, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) Fridays through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit this special historic attraction and learn about the impressive skills used by the Moravian blacksmiths, who created useful tools, weapons, and household items.
See the forges, locksmiths, and gunstocks made right in front of your eyes and take home a unique piece of history!

Get into the soot with the Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites Blacksmithing 101 course. Staged in our historical 1750 Smithy in the Colonial Industrial Quarter, watch, learn, and hone your skills with one of our professional blacksmiths using the same tools of the trade that were available in the Colonial days. This course is designed to grow with the learner, building on skills learned from class to class. Book your beginner’s course today and spark a new passion.
